For visiting the sights in Northern Bali, it is best to consult the many guidebooks or websites. The villa has a large number of guides at your disposal. There is also a manual with additional information and the helpdesk can assist you as well.

Because tastes differ, it is not very useful to make suggestions here for excursions or day trips. There is a wide selection of natural historical and cultural destinations at a distance of less than one hour drive from the villa. In one excursion you can often combine several attractions.

You can choose between mountains and volcanoes, lakes, waterfalls, a botanical garden, quiet beaches, diving, snorkeling, biking, hiking and trekking, dolphin spotting, one of the world's finest golf courses and sophisticated spa treatments. But also beautiful rice fields (UNESCO World Heritage), hot springs, temples, colonial heritage, towns, villages with their local customs, cuisine and products, markets, some museums and theme parks contribute to a multi-range of possibilities. The religion and culture of the island offer plenty of opportunities to witness ceremonies, cremations, gamelan and dance performances and cockfighting. The locals will be happy to alert you when and where such an event occurs.

Alternative tourism exists in the form of small-scale agro-tourism, eco-tourism and desa-tourism (wisata desa), that provide for example walks through rice fields, visits to village schools, artisans (cottage industry) and meetings and meals at Balinese homes. The marketing of such forms of tourism is not yet well developed. Some preparatory internet research is recommended since local tourist information is often limited to the more trodden paths.
